Calling All SoCal Artists - Get Your Work Noticed!

Costa Mesa Ceramics Studio is a brand new hot spot in west side Costa Mesa focusing on building a community, educating new artists, and sharing and expressing the creative process of ceramics. They offer private lessons, group classes, monthly memberships and fun workshops (infused with wine!) Yes please…where do I sign up?

I was able to catch up with the owner Lauren today on the blog. Read on to hear more about how she got started. Plus, if you’re an artist, learn how you can get your work noticed at their upcoming event on May 13th!

 How It All Got Started

“I fell in love with ceramics and decided I wanted to spend my days being happy, doing what I love, surrounded by creative people. I felt the need to create a space for like minded folks to work and inspire one another in a mellow environment. We are structured more like a cooperative than a business where we have invaluable members who volunteer their time to teach classes and help maintain the studio,” says Lauren owner of Costa Mesa Ceramics.

Spring Makers Market Event May 13th

Costa Mesa Ceramics Studio is looking for artists of all mediums to participate in the upcoming Spring Makers Market.

If you’re interested in getting your artwork out there, I suggest emailing ASAP to secure your booth space! There’s minimal spots available, so act quickly.

This year marks Costa Mesa Ceramics Studio's second market event. We hope to make it happen at least twice a year, with the number of artists growing every time. Our goal with these markets is to create a more communal and interactive community, with a more dependable flow of fun seasonal events for the whole family. There are so many creative makers in and surrounding Costa Mesa, but no consistent markets or events for those talented people to benefit from and show their work or art. Weather you come to buy a unique treasure or just to get inspired, the most important thing is that people are getting out there and supporting their neighbors. Did I mention there will be some of the best genuine barbecue you will ever taste?

Before you go, check out some fun photos of workshops and ceramic art:

As Hellen Keller so perfectly said 'alone we can do so little, together we can do so much' - Lauren.
